Promenade 3D black raised honeycomb hexagon detail, EmotionWood
The Promenade 3D

· The Promenade 3D ·

The honeycomb, in three dimensions.

Hexagons raised into a sculptural relief.

The pattern, lifted off the wall.

More than just wood

Born from Estonian forests.

EmotionWood has crafted eco-friendly wood design panels in Estonia since 2014, where nature and design meet in balance. Every panel is made by hand by skilled artisans, guided by Nordic values of quality and responsibility.

Which is why these panels aren't only a surface to look at. They're solid-wood panels that earn their place on the wall: acoustically, environmentally and for years.

Softer, warmer rooms

Natural wood improves acoustics, thermal comfort and indoor climate, so spaces feel calmer, not just look richer.

Solid, not veneer

Solid timber right through, not a veneer over board, so it can be cut, sanded and lived with.

An original design

A distinctive EmotionWood pattern, handcrafted and made to your order in Estonia: originality you can specify with confidence.

Documented & declared

Eco-friendly production, with technical and installation data sheets: the paperwork trade and architect specs ask for.

Why it lasts

Solid wood, engineered to be lived with.

The Promenade 3D lifts the honeycomb off the wall — each hexagon raised and faceted so light breaks across every face and the surface reads as a true three-dimensional relief. Solid wood at its most sculptural, in a 396 × 483 mm panel, three to a pack.

Pattern · Deep 3D honeycomb

Lifted
off the wall.

Each hexagon is raised and faceted, so the honeycomb steps out from the wall and light breaks across every angled face. The most sculptural, three-dimensional Promenade there is.

  • Raised, faceted hexagon relief
  • Deep shadow and shifting highlights
  • 396 × 483 mm panels, 3 to a pack

Material · Solid natural wood

Real wood,
carved deep.

Solid timber, never veneer. The 3D relief is cut into real wood, so the depth is genuine — thermo finishes run darker through the body, painted and natural finishes keep their surface character.

  • Solid timber, never veneer
  • Genuine cut depth, not embossed
  • Every panel a little different

Application · Indoor & sauna-safe

Sculptural,
and warm.

A bold, sculptural feature for interior walls and ceilings — and sauna and spa interiors in the Thermo Abachi finish, which is built for heat and steam.

  • Statement feature walls & ceilings
  • Sauna & spa interiors (Thermo Abachi)
  • Painted & natural finishes for dry spaces

Install · Glue or brad nail

Glue or brad.
Up in a day.

Fix straight to a clean, level wall with a heat- and moisture-resistant silicone, or brad-nail to timber battens. Work row by row so the honeycomb lines up.

  • Adhesive or stainless brad fixing
  • Batten-fix to a flat, level wall
  • Allow 5 to 10% for cuts & waste

Origin · Made in Estonia

Made in Estonia,

Designed and made by EmotionWood in Tallinn, cut to your order and finished to the same standard before it is flat-packed and shipped.

The finishes

One geometry, many characters.

One panel, one pattern; the character comes from the wood. Every finish is solid, hand-finished timber, cut and laid by hand in Estonia.

Thermo Abachi

Warm golden-brown thermo-treated abachi. Stable in heat and steam — sauna-safe, and it shows the deep 3D relief beautifully.

White

Soft washed white, bright and clean — the raised hexagons cast crisp, calm shadow. For dry interior spaces.

Black

Deep espresso-black — the 3D relief reads as pure light and shadow. Dramatic and moody. For dry interior spaces.

Installation

Up on the wall in an afternoon.

Two honest ways to fix the panels: bond straight to a flat wall with adhesive, or brad-nail to battens. No specialist trade required: a clean wall, a level, and a steady row-by-row rhythm.

GLUE THE FIELD stop short of every edge & corner wall panel 15 mm (raised relief) press & level

Best on a flat, dry, load-tested wall. No battens needed; the wall itself is the substrate.

Bonded straight to the wall.

The fastest route for a sound, level wall. A heat- and moisture-resistant silicone holds the panels flush with no visible fixings.

  1. Prep the wallClean, flat and level. Finish all wet works first so the wall is fully dry.
  2. Butter the panelSpread moisture-resistant silicone across the back, covering edges and corners, but stop short of the very edge so it won't squeeze out.
  3. Press & levelSet the panel, press firmly so it beds evenly, and check it sits flush and true.
  4. Work the wallTop to bottom, left to right, row by row, and the seams disappear as you go.
  5. Seal & treatFinish with a breathable wood protector to guard against dirt and moisture.

The rhythm: row by row.

Whichever way you fix them, start top-left, then work down and across so each row locks into the last.

Start top-left Row by row Down & across

Before you start

  • Acclimatise first. Store the panels in the room for a few weeks so the wood settles to its temperature and humidity. Never below freezing.
  • Wet works first. Finish any wet trades before fitting; panels fixed to a damp wall will absorb moisture and swell.
  • Order a little extra. Allow 5 to 10% for cuts and edge pieces, and expect gentle shade variation between batches.

Care & repair

  • Protect it. Treat all surfaces with a breathable wood protector; it repels dirt and moisture and lifts the grain.
  • Never pressure-wash. Running water or a pressure washer will damage the wood; wipe clean and dry only.
  • Swap a damaged piece. Chisel it out, clean the plywood back, and glue a replacement in; no need to redo the wall.

Common questions

Answered, before you ask.

A real human is one click away, but most of what we get asked is right here.

Talk to a specialist
How much does one pack cover?

The 3D panels are deep and hand-worked, so they are supplied 3 to a pack, covering about 0.57 m². Panels are 396 × 483 mm. Order by the pack, and allow 5 to 10% extra for cuts and waste. Talk to a specialist to confirm quantities for a larger wall.

How is 3D different from the Standard Promenade?

It is the same honeycomb hexagon, but lifted into a deep, faceted three-dimensional relief rather than a gentle one. The wall becomes genuinely sculptural, with much stronger depth and shadow. Standard is the classic honeycomb; 3D is the boldest, most three-dimensional version.

Can I use it in a sauna or bathroom?

Yes, in the Thermo Abachi finish, which is thermo-treated for heat and humidity and used in sauna interiors. The White and Black finishes are for dry interior spaces. For wet areas, complete any wet works first and treat the wood with a breathable protector.

Is the depth real, or embossed?

It is real. The 3D relief is cut into solid wood, so the hexagons genuinely step out from the wall and cast real shadow — nothing is printed, pressed or embossed.

How do I install the panels?

Two ways: glue straight to a clean, level wall with a heat- and moisture-resistant silicone, or brad-nail to timber battens. Work row by row so the honeycomb lines up.

Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?

Yes. We price by the pack, with trade and architect rates for larger projects. Talk to a specialist for a project quote.
