Why it lasts
The Pinecone panel is made from real pine cones, set by hand into a 500 mm panel with around 50 mm of natural depth. The result is a deep, sculptural surface full of shadow and texture, and because it is real forest material, no two panels are ever the same.

Every panel is made from genuine natural pine cones, set by hand and left exactly as they grew. It brings a piece of the forest floor straight onto the wall, rich, warm and unmistakably real.
Depth · Sculptural relief
At around 50 mm deep, this is a truly three-dimensional surface. Light catches the cones and throws real shadow across the wall, so the panel shifts and changes through the day.
Character · One of a kind
Because it is real forest material, every panel is arranged differently, with its own shapes, shades and grain. Laid together they read as one living, textured surface, never a repeat.

The Pinecone panel works as a dramatic feature wall or an unexpected, tactile ceiling. It has been used to striking effect in homes and in spa and sauna spaces as a decorative overhead feature.

Pine cones are gathered in season, so the panel is made to order in a limited annual run by EmotionWood in Tallinn. It is worth checking availability and lead time early when you plan a wall.
Installation
Two honest ways to fix the panels: bond straight to a flat wall with adhesive, or brad-nail to battens. No specialist trade required: a clean wall, a level, and a steady row-by-row rhythm.
Best on a flat, dry, load-tested wall. No battens needed; the wall itself is the substrate.
The fastest route for a sound, level wall. A heat- and moisture-resistant silicone holds the panels flush with no visible fixings.
Best when the wall is uneven; the battens create a true, ventilated plane to fix into.
The forgiving route for walls that aren't dead flat. Straight, level battens give a true plane; stainless brads hold the panels invisibly at the joints.
Whichever way you fix them, start top-left, then work down and across so each row locks into the last.

Talk to a specialistEach box holds 2 panels and covers about 0.5 m². Panels are 500 × 500 mm with a coverage of 0.25 m² each. Order by the square metre, and allow 5 to 10% extra for cuts and waste.
It is a decorative feature, and it has been installed as a wall and ceiling feature in spa and sauna rooms. It is raw, natural pine cones though, not a heat or moisture-treated wood, so keep it to dry, well-ventilated feature surfaces and away from direct water, steam and the area right beside a heater. For surfaces in the splash zone or right by the heat source, ask us about our thermo-treated panel series.

This is a deep, heavier panel, so it needs a solid base. Bond it to a clean, dry, level wall with a strong adhesive and fix the backing to timber battens, working from the top. Let the panels acclimatise in the room first and keep the surface dry.
