Six metres
Every board runs the full 6 m, so long walls, ceilings and facade runs can be clad in single lengths with far fewer joins.
Fewer joins means a cleaner, uninterrupted line, fewer cut ends to detail, and less setting out on site. These are the longest boards in the EmotionWood range, and that length is what the series is built around.
Two tones
Two tones on the same 120 x 28 mm pine board. White Pine is pale and cool, Brown Pine a deeper amber, and both are priced the same, so the choice is only the tone you want in the room.
Grain, knots and colour shift from board to board, as they do in any solid timber. Dry lay and mix the boards across a run so the variation spreads evenly.
Natural
Yakisugi is the charred board, listed separately. Elegant is its natural counterpart, so the grain and its tone carry the wall rather than a layer of char.
It is weather-resistant and suits indoor walls and ceilings, outdoor environments and saunas. How the surface is treated from here, and how it ages, is your call.
The finishes
One board, one profile; the character comes from the timber. Every finish is solid wood, milled and finished in Estonia.
A warmer, deeper amber. The grain carries more contrast against the darker ground, giving the face depth along the full length of the board. Same profile, same price, so it comes down to the tone you want.
Pale and cool, with a light, open face that holds daylight rather than absorbing it. The grain and markings stay visible across the full length of the board, so the wall reads as texture rather than pattern.
Installation
Solid timber boards are fixed to battens over a ventilated cavity, the way cladding has always been hung. Set a level datum, allow for movement, and seal the trimmed ends before they go up.
Face-fixed boards over counter-battens, stainless screws through the board face into the timber behind.
The direct method for facades, feature walls and ceilings. Boards are screwed through the face into the battens behind, leaving a clean, honest line of fixings.
Square-edge boards run vertically or horizontally; set the battens to run counter to the board direction so the cavity stays open.

Talk to a specialistIndoors on walls and ceilings, outdoors on facades and exterior detailing, and inside saunas. The boards are weather-resistant, so the same profile can run from an interior wall out onto a facade if you want one material across a project.
By the lineal metre, at about $26 per metre. Boards are supplied as full 6 m lengths, so one board is 6 lineal metres and costs about $156. Orders are made up of whole boards, then cut to fit on site. White Pine and Brown Pine are the same price.
The boards are 120 mm wide, so a square metre of cladding takes about 8.3 lineal metres, close to one and a half boards. Work out the area of the run, multiply by 8.3, then add an allowance for cuts and round up to whole boards. The calculator on this page will do it for you.
Tone. White Pine is pale and cool; Brown Pine is warmer, a deeper amber. They are the same solid pine board at the same 120 x 28 mm profile and the same price, so the choice is only the tone you want. Both are supplied in EmotionWood's natural finish. Face-fixed to timber battens over a ventilated cavity, the standard approach for solid-timber cladding, and they run vertically or horizontally. Let the boards acclimatise on site first, as solid pine moves with moisture and a 6 m board moves along its length. The installation section on this page walks through the method and the layout.
Elegant is supplied in its natural finish rather than charred, so the surface treatment is your call. The pine is weather-resistant and suits indoors, outdoors and saunas. We do not publish a coating schedule for it, so if you want the boards coated, ask a specialist about a product suited to your application before you order.
Yes. Pine is a natural material, so grain, knots and tone shift from board to board. That variation is part of the character rather than a fault. If you want to see the finish in your own light first, ask a specialist about a sample.
Boards are made to order in Tallinn rather than held in stock, so allow for production and freight to Australia. A 6 m board also needs vehicle access and room to unload and handle on site, so confirm the delivery point when you order. If a length other than the standard 6 m is essential, raise it with a specialist before the order is placed.
We do not publish a fire rating, a BAL rating or a combustibility classification for these boards. If the project sits in a bushfire prone area, or the external cladding has NCC requirements, confirm what your site needs with your builder or certifier before you specify Elegant.
