It gives the room a modern honesty: the timber is not just a surface treatment, but part of how the sauna is built, finished, and experienced.

Spruce CLT Construction
The Core is built from 60 mm three-ply spruce cross-laminated timber. Seven wall elements, two floor and two roof, each machined in the factory and screwed together on site. Cross laminating sets the grain of every layer at right angles to the next, and that is what holds a solid timber panel flat through the heating and cooling a sauna puts it through. It is the same structural system as the rest of the OneEighty range.
Unfinished by Design
Every other OneEighty arrives factory finished. The Core arrives bare, in non-visual grade spruce, ready for the paint, stain or oil you choose. It is one of several places the Core is specified more simply than the rest of the range, and it is the one that puts the look in your hands. Treat the outside to suit the garden and leave the inside pale, or take the whole cabin dark.
Interior · Spruce CLT
Inside, the same 60 mm spruce forms the walls, ceiling and benches. The upper bench runs 1855 mm along the back wall at a height of 1070 mm, with a movable lower bench that lifts out when you want the floor back. A wall inlet and an adjustable wall outlet handle the air, both covered with grills.
Roof · EPDM Membrane
The roof carries an EPDM membrane and adhesive with a sheet metal drip edge along the back to throw rainwater clear of the wall, finished with wooden verge slats. The cabin sits on 45 x 45 mm foundation slats supplied with the kit, so the floor stays off the ground from the first day.
Door · Pine Frame and Grey Glass
The door is a fingerjointed pine frame carrying 8 mm tempered grey glass, 590 x 1890 mm, hung on Abloy hinges with a wooden handle and EPDM seals. It is reversible, so left or right hand opening is settled at assembly rather than at order. Either side of it sit two window elements, each a spruce CLT frame around the same 8 mm grey glass. Glazing is single throughout and grey is the only glass offered, one of several places the Core is specified more simply than the rest of the range.
Delivery · Flat Pack on One Pallet
The Core ships flat on a single pallet, 1000 x 1000 x 2050 mm, approximately 820 kg with tare. The heaviest single element is a floor or roof panel at around 44 kg. Wall elements sit near 42 kg, the windows 36 kg and the door 27 kg, which is what makes the two person figure realistic. It goes together in four to six hours with the stainless steel screws supplied, standing on the 45 x 45 mm foundation slats included in the kit. Electrical work is the exception and must be completed by a certified electrician.
Each sauna includes its standard bench configuration, selected to suit the model, room size, and heat layout. Alternative bench styles may be available depending on the sauna range, model, and configuration, with final layout, lighting impact, and pricing confirmed before order.

Every other OneEighty model arrives factory finished, so this is the one deliberate difference that makes the Core the entry point to the range.

What changes is the specification: unfinished spruce rather than factory finished thermo timber, a pine framed door and two windows rather than a full glass aluminium front, wooden roof verge slats rather than aluminium, cabling run on the surface rather than concealed, single glazing with no double glazed upgrade, and a slightly lower internal height at 1920 mm.
