The Range

Six modular saunas, indoor and outdoor.

Three outdoor and three indoor models, all built from the same prefabricated cross-laminated timber system. Compare footprint, finish and seating below, from compact one to two person cabins to a four to five person room.

Cross-Laminated Timber Construction

A solid 60 mm timber structure, not standard cladding.

OneEighty saunas begin with Cross-Laminated Timber, or CLT: timber layers bonded in alternating directions so the panel becomes stronger and more stable than a single-direction board.

It gives the room a modern honesty: the timber is not just a surface treatment, but part of how the sauna is built, finished and experienced.

Because the panels arrive prefabricated and precision-machined, the structure comes together efficiently on site while keeping the room solid, stable and refined.

  • Three 20 mm cross-laminated layers
  • Stable, rigid and precision-machined
  • Sustainable, renewable timber construction

Solid timber, precisely built.

Each OneEighty sauna is a solid cross-laminated timber room, not a light frame dressed in decorative cladding. Outdoor models wear a black-coated Thermo Spruce face with black aluminium framing and tempered glass, a disciplined, architectural presence that settles into the site.

On Heat

From the literature.

Across wellness research and performance culture, sauna bathing is discussed for recovery, consistency and the deliberate practice of heat. These statements are included as context for the ritual, not as product endorsements.

You get used to everything. 88 degrees in the sauna used to feel way hotter. Now it almost feels normal. I’m trying to get in here 4 times a week. The benefits are tangible. One of the wildest feelings you can experience is when you do 20 minutes in a hot sauna and then 2 in a cold plunge, and then back to the sauna.

The latest data point to: i) 57 minutes of hot sauna per week ii) 11 minutes of cold exposure per week as reliable thresholds to derive major benefits on metabolism, insulin and growth hormone pathways. (Can be done same or separate days) (Ideal temp: uncomfortable but safe)

I have been hitting up my home sauna 5 days a week and every time I feel great afterward. Regular sauna use has been associated with up to a 40% reduced risk of pneumonia and increases white blood cell numbers and heat shock proteins. Thirty minutes at 73°C boosts hsp70 by 50% in healthy people.

Reviews

Quiet proof from people who live with the heat.

The first impression is easy. The better test is what happens months later: how often it is used, how naturally it becomes part of the home, and whether the quality still feels deliberate once the novelty fades.

A year on and the sauna is still going strong. We’re using it at least three times a week and absolutely love it. Communication with the team is easy. They’re always keen to help.

Great communication from the very first contact. Every question was answered pre-purchase, and we were kept updated right through to installation. Couldn’t have asked for more.

My sauna just arrived and it looks amazing. The team was incredibly responsive, kept me in the loop during the shipping process, and was nothing short of fantastic.

They were great to deal with and kept us regularly updated on delivery. The sauna is fantastic and we’re very happy with the quality of the product.

How much does a modular sauna cost in Australia?

OneEighty modular saunas start from $14,722.00 for the compact Small Indoor, with the larger indoor models and the outdoor range priced above it. Each price covers the prefabricated cross-laminated timber cabin, 8mm tempered glass, black aluminium framing and your chosen interior timber. A compatible heater, LED lighting and installation are quoted separately so the sauna is matched to your space.

What is a CLT sauna, and why does it matter?

CLT stands for cross-laminated timber. Each OneEighty wall, floor, roof and bench is a solid 60mm panel made of three 20mm timber layers bonded in alternating directions, so it is stronger and more stable than a single-direction board. The result is a solid, architectural timber room that arrives precision-machined and goes together on site in hours, rather than a light frame dressed in decorative cladding.

Should I choose an indoor or outdoor OneEighty sauna?

It comes down to where the sauna will live. Indoor models are finished in Natural Spruce inside and out for bathrooms, gyms and wellness rooms. Outdoor models add a black-coated Thermo Spruce exterior and an EPDM weatherproof roof for gardens, terraces and poolsides. Both share the same cross-laminated timber construction, so footprint, access and setting usually decide the model.

Are OneEighty saunas cheap flat-pack kits?

No. OneEighty is a premium, engineered modular sauna. The panels are precision-machined cross-laminated timber, not thin cladding or a budget DIY kit, and they are built to install quickly and last. You get the speed and clean logistics of a modular system with the solidity and finish of an architectural timber room.

How long does installation take?

Because the CLT panels arrive prefabricated and precision-machined, most models are assembled on site in a matter of hours: indoor cabins from around two to four hours and larger outdoor models from around four to six, depending on the site and access. Delivery is on a pallet, and all electrical work is completed by a licensed electrician.

Are these traditional or infrared saunas?

They are traditional saunas, not infrared. A compatible electric heater warms stones for real convective heat and steam, the classic sauna experience rather than infrared radiant panels. HARVIA heater options are matched to each model, and a wood-burning heater is available on the larger outdoor cabin.

Is the heater included?

The price covers the sauna cabin itself. A compatible heater and LED lighting are selected as add-ons, so the heat output, control and lighting are sized correctly for your model and site. Our team helps you choose the right heater when you enquire.

What is included as standard, and what can I choose?

Every model includes the cross-laminated timber walls, floor, roof and benches, an 8mm tempered glass door and window elements with black aluminium hardware, natural ventilation, concealed wiring provision, an installation manual and pallet delivery. Outdoor models add the black coating, EPDM roof and a floor drain. You choose the interior timber, Natural Spruce, Thermo Spruce or Thermo Abachi, and the glass tint in grey, clear or bronze.

Do modular saunas need council approval in Australia?

It depends on the size, siting and your local rules. Some smaller structures fall under exempt or complying development, while others need approval, and requirements vary by council and state. We recommend confirming with your local council or a private certifier before installation, and our team can help you plan around what your site allows.

Do you deliver and install across Australia?

Yes. Sauna Ritual coordinates delivery and project planning Australia-wide for the full OneEighty range. Final installation requirements are confirmed by model, access and site, and you receive first-heat guidance plus ongoing warranty and aftercare support.
